The Centre for Population Health Sciences at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh seeks an experienced manager to lead the implementation of the knowledge exchange and impact strategy, and develop and implement the communications strategy for the Advanced Care Research Centre (ACRC).

**The Opportunity**:
The ACRC is a £20million programme led by University of Edinburgh and funded by Legal and General, to research and develop innovative solutions for the care of people in later life, contributing to tackling the global challenge of promoting and maintaining ‘healthy ageing’. Central to the ACRC approach is a commitment to working in partnership with people in later life, their families and communities, and to creating a sustainable UK wide collaboration and engagement with public, private and third sector organisations to ensure impact of the research.
The Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Coordinator (maternity cover) will develop effective working relationships with patients, the public, lay leads, PPIE colleagues across the University / other organisations as well as wider colleagues and stakeholders to ensure an integrated strategy for Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement is developed and delivered for ACRC. The post holder will ensure patient and public involvement is embedded in the Centre’s work and any projects carried out using ACRC resources and related projects in the University. The post holder will develop and provide training and guidance on patient and public involvement, specifically in relation to the context of later life care in the UK.

**Your skills and attributes for success**
- Significant experience of working with researchers, patients, public and healthcare professionals.
- Good experience of patient and public involvement in research preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience of public engagement
- Experience of a range of research methods in healthcare.
