The counter assistant is responsible for assisting the counter staff with opening and closing of the counter, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner, and maintaining cleanliness in the shop.

**Core Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the counter staff with opening and closing of the counter.
- Responding to all customer concerns and requests.
- Ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant.
- Checking for product quality issues.
- Reporting quality issues to management.
- Reporting food cost issues to management.
- Performing opening and closing duties of the counter.
- Assist management with training of new employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

This position requires an individual with great focus and initiative who pays attention to detail throughout the process of opening and closing the counter each day, from prep work all the way through serving meals until they are finished serving customers until they are finished cleaning up themselves or another employee is finished cleaning up for them.
