**Key Purpose**
Undertake the financial administration for the association including the routine processing of invoices, raising of credit notes, reconciliation of receipted monies to the bank account, liaising with suppliers and members, running the payroll, issuing statements to customers and members, preparing VAT returns, preparing financial records to trial balance for the external accountants and auditors using Quickbooks.
The main responsibilities are to:
- Co-ordinate financial invoicing and payment services
- Maintain books and records on Quickbooks Desktop Pro
- Download and process cash, credit card (Worldpay) and Paypal payments/receipts to Quickbooks
- Reconcile bank and Paypal control accounts
- Post customer receipts, review aging and liaise with management re credit control
- Post purchase invoices
- Post sales invoices to Quickbooks
- As events are invoiced in advance, maintain a deferred revenue spreadsheet and calculate the monthly revenue for events held each year
- Reconcile the deferred revenue account monthly
- Monthly prepayments and accruals
- Monthly payroll using Quickbooks
- Prepare and submit VAT return
- Other ad hoc tasks that arise at the company
**Person Specification**
- 2+ Years’ experience in all bookkeeping duties
- Must have experience in using Quickbooks, ether desktop pro or online
- Experience in VAT returns
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to be flexible and adaptable in task prioritisation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- An ability to work quickly and accurately
- Good concentration
- An eye for detail
- An ability to work to deadlines
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £18.00-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 per week
