THE ROLE

Oversight and Governance:
Ensure oversight of all trading activity instructed to TPA is completed. Proactively follow up/escalate any trade issues with TPA/Trading team with the mínimal need to require further internal operational support.
- Comprehensive understanding of all TPA Ops models required to perform effective oversight and governance. Identify when TPA are not following the agreed model and therefore challenge them accordingly. Demonstrate detailed understanding of how the TPA modelsintegrate into processes
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of Fixed Income (including accrued interest, coupons, settlement cycles, tax) Equity (dividend processes, settlement cycles) and OTC/ETD (margins, up-front fees, settlement cycles). Able to question TPA to ensure theyare following the correct processes
- Able to collaborate with TPA when designing new oversight Ops models. Demonstrate a clear understanding to internal teams when describing new process implementation
- Review daily Start of Day, Intra Day Cash and Bloomberg trade files. Identify any issues and manage to full resolution with the mínimal of support from internal operations
- Take ownership of oversight of cash/holding daily reconciliations for portfolios assigned. Use initiative to raise and track breaks to TPA
- Oversight of daily and monthly client TPA reporting.
- Review TPA stale prices report. Identify and query stale prices for all external reportable funds until resolution or advising internally of the reason why you have accepted the price should be stale.
- Take ownership and pro-actively engage in Ops-to-Ops meetings with TPA. Ensure any queries are raised and tracked and that service is in line with SLA or explain why there is a deviation. Also take an active part in Service Review Meetings
- Annually, perform a meticulous review of Service Level Agreements with TPA to ensure the document captures all services that we receive and that the processes agree to the Operating Models

**Experience**:

- Collateral management and sound OTC/ETD experience - essential
- Broad knowledge of a wide range of asset classes, including Fixed Income, Global Equities and FFX - covering accrued interest, dividends, settlement practices, commissions etc
- Prior experience conducting oversight and governance of middle office service providers
- Closely working with trading, portfolio management and client facing teams
- Prior experience of working with 3rd parties - brokers and custodians
- In depth and demonstrable understanding of regulatory change and reporting
- Previous Bloomberg experience advantageous
- Prior experience of process improvement and enhancement highly desirable
