Head of Governance

**The Head will**: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of practice-wide regulation, including clinical governance, quality assurance systems, and health and safety. Be responsible for quality and governance related to quality and safety standards, risk, patient safety management, and processes supporting CQC regulated activity, registration, and compliance. Supporting the Executive Medical Director offer end to end management including delivery of the Board Assurance Framework About Us The role is a senior leadership position, working closely with and supporting the Leadership Board to promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; ensure the provision of appropriate care; and address the experiences of service users and their carers. Person SpecificationQualifications (Essential) Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a complex healthcare environment Work across healthcare governance Improvement methodology training At least 3 years experience of in-depth professional knowledge of Governance, Quality/risk assurance Registration with a relevant professional body Recent and continuing professional development Knowledge & Experience (Essential) Senior leadership and management experience in a healthcare provider organisation Extensive experience in CQC regulation Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring risk and patient safety systems Experience in managing patient safety and complaints through governance and assurance Collaborative working across organisations and relationship management Experience with strategic commissioning organisations and senior clinicians in primary care environments Change management, performance management, and project planning skills Experience in a variety of clinical settings and managing staff, services, and budgets Comprehensive knowledge of quality improvement and regulation in healthcare Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills Advanced project/programme management skills
