Do you want to use your fundraising event & challenges experience to make a positive impact? Could you be our next Events & Challenges Fundraiser (Lead)
**We’re looking for someone with experience in managing events and challenges to join our Fundraising Team and help us reach our ambitious fundraising targets raised via a range of existing events and through the development and delivery of new initiatives.**
You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills; a real people person able to connect with and engage a very wide range of people. Be highly organised, able to plan, balance and cope with competing priorities. The role will suit a person who is confident working on multiple projects at once, planning ahead and has a proactive approach to work.
**Key tasks include**:
- Create, deliver, and manage a range of high quality fundraising events & challenges that reach or exceed income targets.
- To be innovative in the events and challenges that are delivered.
- To maximise income in all events and challenges.
- To deliver events and challenges to new audiences and supporters and grow the awareness of Cynthia Spencer Hospice across Northamptonshire.
- Deliver exceptional donor stewardship to all those taking on their own challenges as well as our own event/challenge participants, before during and after participation in their event or challenge.
**Essential skills**:
- Events, Community or Challenge fundraising experience as part of a fundraising team
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a real people person able to connect with and engage a wide range of people
- Experience of inspiring and motivating fundraisers
- Setting targets and meeting or exceeding them
- Being highly organised. Able to plan, balance and cope with competing priorities.
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills
- To be able to listen with care and extract information in order to find out what kind of help is needed in relation to the donor and to deal with/signpost as appropriate.
- Computer literate and a competent user of charity fundraising databases
- Strong team working orientation; collaborative, flexible and supportive.
- A proactive approach to all areas of work
- Willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends and to travel.
- Current driving licence and access to a vehicle to use for work purposes

**Salary**: £31,500.00 per year
