Rainbows are seeking 2 part-time (22 hours per week) Receptionist and Administrators to join our reception team, being the face of rainbows to all who visit the hospice, creating a welcoming environment and delivering a first-class Reception Service. As the receptionist/administrator you will provide a proactive and effective administration support service as well as ensuring the Reception Volunteers are managed and supported effectively, engaged in meaningful work, are trained for relevant tasks, and have regular feedback on their performance.
Some of the key responsibilities (but not limited to):
- To be the first point of contact for the Charity, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to all external and internal contacts children, young people, families, visitors, supporters, staff, volunteers, trustees, health professionals.
- To manage, guide and mentor the Reception Volunteers and ensure that they are keep fully engaged with meaningful work and trained in all relevant tasks and aspects of the Receptionist and Administration Assistant role.
- To manage and support the Reception Volunteers and supervise the work they undertake to meet business demands.
Skills required for the role (but not limited to):
- Good administrative and secretarial skills
- Computer Literate with Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise and deal with conflicting demands
- Highly organised and methodical, with good attention to detail
