Butler Rose currently has a fantastic opening for a Purchasing Assistant to be a crucial part of our client's team, a business in Tiverton. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing fundamental procurement processes in support of the wider supply chain team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to progress a career in procurement and supply chain as the role offers opportunity for funded study, as well as career development and salary growth.

Your specific tasks will be wide ranging in scope and will include the following:

- Liaising with suppliers - mainly in relation to expediting orders scheduled for delivery
- End to end process management of purchase orders - Specifically ensuring Purchase order acknowledgements are received, prices, delivery, carriage are checked, corrected
- Updating Stock records in the ERP system to reflect the latest information / updates.
- Processing incoming supplier free issue requests and logging outgoing free issue materials.
- Providing admin and secretarial support the purchasing function.
- Handling incoming internal customer service requests and distributing to the appropriate buyer.
- Ensuring that all visitors and telephone calls are handled within agreed company service levels
- Administrative duties including, but not limited to; filing, photocopying, scanning etc
- Excellent record keeping and organisational skills
- Issuing out and administering Confidentiality Agreements
- Preparation of RFQ's. (Quotation Enquiries)
- Controlling drawing up-issues on the internal ERP system and distributing as required.
- Supporting other team members
- Update and distribute information in relation to ongoing departmental KPI's.
- Overseeing the stores management ensuring that any issues arising are addressed and corrected. Supporting the Stock controller with trial kitting, layout changes, store stock requirement, and new product locations, scanning and labels.

- You're a detail-oriented individual with a natural flair for communication and collaboration.
- Your multitasking skills are strong, and you're well-versed in efficiently managing diverse tasks.
- Previous experience in purchasing or procurement is a definite advantage but not essential.
- Be interested in further developing your career

Package:

- Starting salary of £26,000
