**Role: Senior Care Assistant DAYS(7.30am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 9.30pm shift patterns)**

**Salary: £11 per hour**

**28-42 hours per week contract. (Additional shifts may be available)**

**Bank Contract is also available**

Are you caring, self-motivated and organised, able to work as part of a team as well as leading that team, are you sensitive to the needs of others, and are you a good communicator?

The role of the Senior Care Assistant is to work with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of our service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence and to supervise the junior staff in meeting that function.

For this role you will need to have your NVQ 3 or have the NVQ 2 and already be working towards the level 3.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- The provision of a high standard of care to residents, based on their assessment of needs.
- To continuously evaluate the quality of care given and to regularly reassess the needs of the residents, to effect change required to achieve planned goals.
- To administer and check medication.
- To liaise with GPs, District Nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team.
- To ensure effective and efficient use of the homes resources.
- To ensure religious, cultural, emotional, and psychological support for residents and their families.
- To attend and to participate in relevant staff meetings.
- To carry out regular checks on the residents at intervals with due regard for privacy and dignity.
