**Job description - Service Purchaser**

Full-time Service Purchaser required for an established automatic door company based in Bromborough, Wirral. An excellent opportunity with great progression paths within our friendly and thriving Service Department. **Duties will include**:

- Obtain prices for spares working from a Bill of Materials
- Raising and chasing purchase orders with relevant suppliers
- Issuing internal paperwork to relevant departments
- Ensure parts are available for installation deadlines escalating any supply issues to planners/coordinators
- Liaising with engineers and internal staff to ensure materials are correct and accounted for
- Monitor and maintain master data stock sheets for bespoke items, van stock and uniform
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal staff, customers & suppliers
- Always seek opportunity to increase profit margins by negotiating prices and look shorten lead times on items where possible
- Taking note of parts that we may have in stock left over from other jobs that can be used elsewhere
- Obtaining returns forms/numbers and ensure parts are returned to suppliers by Stores so that prices can be refunded on un-used or faulty parts

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in high pressure office environment is essential
- A confident individual who is comfortable making decisions
- Excellent phone manner, and previous experience speaking to customers/suppliers over the phone
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word required
- Full training will be provided
- previous experience in purchasing is preferable but not essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £24,000.00 per year
