**About the role: Counselling Tutor**

Activate Learning are now recruiting for qualified Counsellors to teach Level 4 Counselling on a part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and develop the delivery of a well-established and successful counselling training team.

We are looking for a core tutor and co-tutor to deliver on our Therapeutic Counselling Level 4 Diploma on Wednesdays between 9am - 4:30pm.

Casual or fixed term contracts available, offering an hourly rate of up to £32.40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

**What do you need to be a successful Counselling Tutor at Activate Learning?**

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our learners and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.
- Have a therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above
- Be a member of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy
- Be a current practitioner with minimum 2 years supervised counselling practice
- Have a supervision qualification or experience of supervising groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
- Have a teaching qualification or be willing to complete a teaching qualification
- Have minimum 1 year experience of teaching and assessing at level 2 and 3 or above
- Have evidence of completing 30 hours per year CPD activities

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
