Administration and clerical staff

Medical, nursing and midwifery staff and other staff within the Directorate/Trust as appropriate.

External contacts, relevant to the nature of the work of the Directorate/Trust, including patients and visitors as appropriate.

Role Summary

The post holder will be responsible for daily up keep of the Patient Administration System. The post holder will provide administration services to the medical and nursing staff on the ward as well as providing reception cover. The post holder will be expected to work on his or her own initiative in accordance with management requirements and will be responsible for the standard of their own work. The nature of the work requires someone who is aware of patient confidentially, trustworthy and with the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all staff and the public.

We are a very busy Directorate and the post involves handling a significant number of patients case note folders. All aspects of the work must be carried out in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures in respect of maintaining patient confidentiality and Health & Safety.
