We have specialist schools in Somerset looking to recruit full time (TTO) passionate SEND Tutor to lead their Post 16 class.
**Your Role**:
- You will lead alongside 2 experienced SEND TAs supporting pupils to overcome their barriers to learning and help them to make accelerated progress.
- Support the behaviour management of the classroom, following the schools behaviour management policy.
- Follow school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring any safeguarding concerns are reported using the school’s referral procedures.
- You will lead the teaching of a group of 8 children, supporting pupils to overcome their barriers to learning and help them to make accelerated progress.
- Lessons will be planned and resourced - with the opportunity to adapt and differentiate to your style

- Variety of SEND needs
- 10 Post 16 students
- Working towards a variety of vocational course; English & Maths functional skills, ASDAN course in Employability, Personal & Social development and many more.

- work collaboratively within a team and alongside other professionals to ensure that learning is appropriate to meet the needs of individual learners.

- keeping parents and carers informed of their child’s progress, wellbeing at school and strategies to support at home.
- using robust evidence and working closely with staff and governors in evaluating the school’s performance and planning our strategic direction.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
