**Production Manager**

Location - Tyne and Wear

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending upon experience. Along with possible company share options at successful stages.

CDS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Production Manager to join a company with over 30 years experience. They supply to industries that include healthcare, education, commercial and leisure with products that are flatpack and similarpanels for washrooms and cubicle interiors at a high finish.

Our client is based in South Tyneside who specialize in creating a products to bespoke design specifications as well as companies standard range. The company have the skills and knowledge to develop much further from modern machinery and expertise to providepractical and cost effective solution to meet customers from various industries. But ideally from a premium commercial interior environment.

The Production Manager is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all shift activities across the site, from administration staff to team leaders, technicians, tool fitters, Packing and Inspection.
Instill confidence and with the use of modern manufacturing techniques drive development within the company, such as continuous improvement culture.
As a production manager, it is expected that the person will make sure goods and services are produced safely, cost-effectively and on time and that they meet the required quality standards.
The role will require the person will ensure Team Leaders deliver training, developing, and performance management across your team, around agreed production targets, quality, housekeeping, continuous improvement, and health & safety.
Analyses performance data to drive continuous improvement across the company.

**Knowledge and Expertise**
Proven experience in a similar role
Ability to develop, lead and motivate others
Highly computer literate e.g. Excel/Word and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
Demonstrates experiences of making sound judgement under pressure.
Systematic and with high attention to detail
Ability to lead and promote Lean manufacturing initiatives
Ability to make decisions that maximise plant output + efficiency whilst balancing those decisions with safety, product quality and cost.

**Qualifications**

Management qualifications - or equivalent experience

IOSH or NEBOSH

Six Sigma

Production or Manufacturing Experience

**Working Hours**
8.00am to 17.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Full flexibility, in line with business needs. This may include working any shift along with weekend work.
