**Project Overview**:
In February 2024, Alchemy Arts launched its ‘Work Ready’ project, a 12 week project aimed at enhancing employability skills and reintegrating economically inactive Pakistani women in Cheetham Hill, equipping them with the confidence and skills to move closer to the labour market. The project actively worked towards breaking down barriers to employment which included lack of confidence, limited English language skills and low self esteem and supported participants in securing paid employment, volunteering opportunities and increased self confidence, self awareness and self worth. Following the success of phase 1, we are now delighted to be launching phase 2 of the programme and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project coordinator to join us in overseeing the successful delivery of this much needed project.
**Key Role Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of 12 employability themed sessions: ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and meets participants' needs. This will include identifying and inviting guest speakers as appropriate
- Coordinate and execute a series of culturally appropriate events, inc Careers Fair, site visits, and a Celebration Event for certificate presentation.
- Offer management support to the Work Ready session facilitator and outreach and engagement worker ensuring effective delivery of the program.
- Produce a monthly evaluation report with feedback and recommendations for the project's continuation and improvement.
- Attend 30 minute weekly check ins (virtual) with the CEO
- Attend monthly monitoring meetings (virtual) alongside the CEO
- Oversee the production of case studies highlighting participant journeys.
- Maintain consistent engagement and attendance of at least 25 Pakistani women, ensuring they benefit fully from the programme.
**Essential Criteria for this role**:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in project coordination, particularly in community engagement or employability skills training projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills: with the ability to manage a team and engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing events and programmes.
- Strong foundation in project management, with ability to successfully manage initiatives from conception to completion
- Personal Qualities: Creative, empathetic, and energetic, with a genuine passion for working with and empowering members of our diverse communities.
- Proficiency in ICT, including Microsoft Word and Excel, for project administration and reporting.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- **Cultural Competency**: Experience working with Pakistani or broader South Asian communities and an understanding of the cultural sensitivities involved.
- **Education**:A relevant degree or qualifications in social sciences, community development, education, or related fields is advantageous.
- **Language Skills**: Ability to communicate in community languages, such as Urdu or Punjabi.
