Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Children's Support Worker in Buckinghamshire with Action for Children.

Bucks Activity Project is one of over 500 services in the Action for Children family. They are passionate about providing community short breaks to children with disabilities and additional needs for children aged 0-19. Their aim is to give every child customised opportunities to have fun, build skills and promote independence at their pace, underpinned by a welcoming, responsive and skilled administrative team that supports their staff, families and partners.

We are looking to induct staff ready for our summer holidays, you will be sent the weekly rota and asked for your availability in advance to book your shifts with us.

Contract/Hours: Flexible hours available. You can pick up shifts that suit you.

As a Children's Services Worker, you will be working inside a team delivering interventions to children and young people in a group setting, with appropriate direction.

This is an exciting opportunity and the role will include
- You will be supported to make a difference by not only providing personal care but encouraging the children and young people to access a wide range of activities to meet their individual needs and interests including arts and crafts, sensory play, cooking, team games, outdoor play, enhancing life skills.
- You will also be engaging, having fun and interacting with children and young people that take part in activities in the local community such as climbing, water sports, go karting and visits to local farms and parks.
- You will also be recording outcomes for children and supporting the team leaders and colleagues.
- We are looking for people who will take responsibility for the safety, care and engagement of children, instilling a culture of continuous improvement through dialogue with the young people, parents and professional colleagues to ensure each child is supported to achieve the best outcomes.
- You will be able to demonstrate experience in working with children and have knowledge of disabilities, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
