**We are looking for a Senior Support Worker** to line manage a team of Support Workers in order to facilitate positive outcomes for the people we support in one of our Newport Residential Services. You will report into the Registered Manager as part of the service's management team who you will work closely with.

**The role includes**:

- Having oversight of support packages including reviewing care plans and outcomes for the people we support
- Line managing support workers - including supervision to reflect on daily practice, particularly providing support to the people living in the service.
- Facilitating appraisals, explaining continuous professional development opportunities and development of the staff team.
- Ensuring the smooth running and day to day operations of the service.
- A senior support worker would also be expected to present themselves as a role model and effective practise leader.

**Job Description**:
**To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.**
