**The Opportunity**
The Field Service Engineer is a permanent position offering a salary of up to £38,400 per annum (including a 20% of salary bonus) covering the Cambridge & East Anglia area.

**The Role**
You will be responsible for delivering an excellent in-home customer experience on consumer electronic products, primarily digital appliances that kick starts the our customer journey.
In this key role you will ensure domestic appliances are installed at customer premises in-line with our high standards and within health and safety regulations. As a field-based appliance specialist you will be trained to carry out diagnostics/repairs onall domestic white goods - washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, cookers and refrigeration for new appliance installations carried out by retail and logistic partners on behalf of our client a leading home appliance manufacturer.
The role will evolve to all consumer electronic products in the future. Acting as a brand evangelist, you will offer friendly expertise to the user to get the most out of their appliance and keep it sold.
You will also carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspection work on equipment that is protected by the conditions of sale, so an understanding of consumer law would be beneficial. When repairs cannot be carried out on the spot, Specialists mayarrange for faulty equipment to be replaced or repaired by one of our service engineers. If requested, they may be asked to install a replacement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide excellent service delivery to customers
- Demonstrable experience of effectively diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Good understanding of electric and electronic principles and ability to use in practice
- Maintain positive and constructive relationships with client management and client departments
- Engaging with customers to support triage and adhere to appointment time-frames
- Deliver excellent team performance and deliver business financial targets to minimise risks
- Participate in all company provided training to maintain standards, knowledge, and accreditation
- Aim for exceeding customer satisfaction and retention of customers
- Flexible to meet business requirements as and when required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed electronically
- Inventory Management, responsible for managing spare parts van stock and equipment and tools
- Ensuring standards are adhered to for all our repair and support activities
- Being the brand ambassador for the brand and what it actually means to the customer
- Excellent understand of speed & quality controls measures and procedures
- Understand KPI performance
- Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel & Outlook
**Skill and Experience**
**Essential**:
- Domestic appliance or white goods engineering experience and knowledge
- Understanding of quality controls measures and procedures
- Good understanding of electric and electronic principles and ability to use in practice
- Good knowledge of electrical procedures, testing and safety
- Good manual and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work well on your own, without supervision
- The ability to use a laptop computer for diagnostic and report work
- The willingness to upskill in other areas
**Desirable**:
- A responsible attitude to health and safety
- Strong communication skills, for talking to customers
- The ability to work quickly, sometimes under pressure
