We are working with a progressive and dedicated **Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)** committed to providing high-quality education to students facing challenging circumstances. We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success and well-being of our students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching and Learning Support**:

- Lead small group sessions or provide one-on-one support, delivering targeted interventions to students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist in planning and delivering differentiated lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
- Cover lessons in the absence of the Class Teacher
- **Behaviour Management**:

- Implement positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to address and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and adaptation of curriculum resources to meet the unique needs of PRU students.
- Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and inclusive learning materials.
- **Assessment and Reporting**:

- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to progress reports.
- Contribute insights to multi-disciplinary team meetings to inform ongoing support strategies.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCO), and support staff to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to student support.
- Communicate effectively with parents and external agencies as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school or PRU setting.
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Ability to lead and manage small group sessions and provide targeted support to students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

**Salary**: £85.43-£96.28 per day
