**THIS POST IS RING-FENCED TO COMMUNITY HUB STAFF**

Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.

Building on successful Reading for Wellbeing pilot schemes across the North East, and benefitting from a bespoke training package, you will support people to benefit from the power of reading for pleasure, targeting specific groups and individuals in the community who are at risk of experiencing chronic loneliness. You will establish reading groups within a safe space to allow these individuals to come together to share their thoughts and ideas without fear of being judged, reducing their social isolation.

Engaging with people who are not already accessing a library, you will promote the benefits of reading for pleasure to support health and wellbeing, whilst supporting people to improve their confidence in reading.

Reaching a wider audience you will also develop and deliver book related sessions aimed at the target audience across the Community Hubs and within the wider community.

A flexible approach will be required, including evening and weekend work, along with the ability to travel to various locations across the town.
