Consultant Clinical Oncologist

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with an interest in Lung and GI to join our Oncology Team post at Broomfield Hospital.

Recent strategic developments across the area as part of the Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) has seen the creation of a single integrated medical team for Oncology working across the three acute trust - Southend University Hospital, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital and Mid-Essex Hospital. The vision for this larger single team will facilitate cross cover, support increased sub specialisation and facilitate individual job plans in line with Royal College Guidance on tumour site cover.

Recent strategic developments across the STP have seen the creation of a single integrated medical team for Oncology working across the three acute sites. The Team provides the Oncology Service for South Essex covering Basildon, Broomfield and Southend Hospitals, with Southend being the Cancer Centre for the Region and the lead employer for Cancer Services.
