**Business Intelligence Assistant**

**3 months - Rate negotiable**

**The role**

To provide performance information support to the Business Intelligence Team and to the Operational Manager. This role will require you to participate and gain experience in a wide variety of projects and functions including undertaking research and analysis and preparing reports.

**Responsibilities**
- To work as a member of the Business Intelligence team and contribute to the team’s effort to deliver a high-quality management information support function for the Social Services Directorate.
- To provide administrative support to the Business Intelligence Team and to the Operational Manager (Business Intelligence and Service Development).
- To communicate in a variety of ways e.g., electronically, verbally and in writing with a wide range of social services employees.
- To run SQL queries to provide information and statistics from the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS) and to collate information from other data sources, liaising with the relevant staff as necessary.
- To be responsible for data cleansing and to assist in the monitoring of data quality
- To produce and distribute management information reports
- To assist in the production of training manuals
- To attend meetings and record proceedings, as appropriate.
- To produce documents, letters and reports as required
- To liaise with key partner agencies in arranging meetings
- To undertake a wide variety of service-related work as required.
- To support meetings and workshops with staff across the Council to capture requirements for ICT systems and business processes.
- To attend supervision and team meetings on a regular basis
- To ensure compliance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures
- To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties
- To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.
- To implement the principles of the Council's Environment Policy while carrying out the above duties.
- To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
- Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £14.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
