Job Role - Sheet Metal Worker

Contract - Permanent

Full Time - 39 Hours

Coolair Bus & Rail Ltd T/as Coolair Logan utilises in-house capabilities and modern technologies to offer our clients high-quality steel and alloy products.

As a business, we are able to offer complete solutions from client brief to finished product. This includes full CAD design from concept to engineering drawings.

Our manufacturing capabilities enable rapid prototyping, manufacturing and testing using some of the latest technologies and machinery in component manufacturing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has previous experience within the industry and great attention to detail. This job role offers a wide variety of work and can be intense at times with numerous jobs running adjacent to one another. Therefore, the individual needs to work well under pressure and enjoy working with sheet metal and engineering drawings.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be part of the team manufacturing our products.
- Carrying out all tasks relating to sheet metal work.
- Reading engineering drawings to ensure accurate and high-quality components are manufactured.
- Working alongside the Quality Inspector to ensure quality control checks are carried out efficiently and on time.
- Using a variety of sheet metal machinery and tools.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
- Qualifications in English, Maths.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration, even under pressure.
- Very competent with engineering drawings.
- Minimum of 5 years in the industry as a sheet metal worker.
- Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Be able to adapt quickly and manage workload with prior instruction.

**Package**

The starting salary is £13.50 per hour with scope for progression after the probationary period. This shall be based on previous experience and the individual’s abilities.

**Working Hours**:

- Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30
- Friday 07:30 - 12:30

Overtime may be required occasionally based on customer demands and workload.
