**Job: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer**

**Location: Peterborough and Lincoln**

**Salary: £38,400 - £43,600 + Call outs, OT**

Build Recruitment are working with a leading FM service provider to find an enthusiastic mobile AC engineer to join their growing engineering family, working in a challenging and diverse role where no two days are the same. Mobile AC engineers will providemobile delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services across a variety of clients and industries.

The ideal person for this AC engineer position will also have experience working in other trades such as electrical, mechanical or carpentry. This AC engineer will report to one of the Regional Operations Supervisors and assist mobile engineers as requiredin the delivery of reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance tasks. Suitable training and up-skilling - May be given, as and when required, to achieve competency.

**Working hours** - Although the core working hours are 08:00 to 17:00, there may be a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances.

**Duties as an AC engineer**:

- Commercial Gas and Mechanical engineering tasks to include as required (fire alarm tests, flushing of little used outlets / water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.).
- Monthly utilities meter readings
- First line response to reactive repairs
- Minor building fabric repairs.
- Minor decorating tasks.
- Minor plumbing repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders.
- Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Completion of documentation as required, including RAMS and adhere to all associated permits.
- Participation in standby rota for emergency calls, outside normal working hours.
- Flexibility in work hours to provide cover if required for holidays and sickness absence.
- To assist all trades within the team and through the correct training be able to complete tasks away from your core skills.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
- Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.

**Requirements**:

- Experience of commercial gas repairs and small installs with additional electro/mechanical exposure.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.
- Have a proactive approach to maintenance and building management.
- Confident, driven and pro-active.
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional/remedial works.
- Writing and following risk and method statements as required on a daily basis.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
- Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
- Must hold a full UK driver's license.
- Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
- Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.
- Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
