To ensure service users are supported for after completion of the residential and housing services; ensuring a continuum of care approach in order to assist in individuals sustaining recovery.

To lead on the delivery of systematic reviews and support sessions as well as drop-in sessions (virtual and in-person); delivering responsive support on a 1-to-1 and group basis.

Support National development of residential rehabilitation aftercare support packages
- to promote a continuum of care.

Phoenix Futures at the Scottish Residential and Housing Service have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working in psychosocial treatment for substance use.

Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Support Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to the people that use our services.

The Role

As a Sustainable Recovery Worker, you will support people prior to leaving and after their programme to reach their goals and change their lives for the better. The role is full time 37.5 hours per week. You will be part of a passionate and skilled team, contributing to the provision of tailored interventions and recovery approaches.

About You

To join us as a Sustainable Recovery Worker with Phoenix Futures, you will need:

- Relevant experience of working in health and social care, ideally within the field of problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field
- Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the client and service
- Evidence of managing a busy caseload or tasks and excellent organisational skills
- To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understand complex issues presented by people entering custody/in the community/entering residential
- Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
- Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support

The Service

Phoenix Futures’ Scottish Residential and Housing Service offers a drug and alcohol free environment with structured support for people 18 years of age or over who are looking to address their problematic drug and/or alcohol use and improve their mental health. The services offers a comprehensive treatment programme within a therapeutic community setting, providing a range of health and social care services to suit the individual needs of each Community Member. Aftercare support form both services is essential for continuation of care.

The Residential Service is located in Anniesland to the west of the city and the Housing Service is based in Possilpark in the north west of the city. Both services are accessible from public travel.
