**THE ROLE**

An opportunity has arisen for the post of Operations Planner in our Edinburgh Region, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities will include;
Programming and monitoring of projects submitted as part of SGN’s Mains Replacement (REPEX) programme. The management of an accurate and dynamic programme of construction works lies within this remit

You will ensure compliance with NRSWA and be responsible for managing opening notices appropriately and that all customer and stakeholder notification is compliant

Liaise closely with SGN communication and stakeholder teams to enable the best customer experience whilst providing relevant updates

You will be responsible for providing senior management weekly and year end forecasts and prepare financial information by individual project.

The role encompasses the 'Gatekeeper’ function, management responsibility for CDM and RCA activities and the accurate & timely control & submission of digital records for the depot

The role requires consultation and close liaison with SGN operations, Local Authorities, and our contracting partners to build excellent working relationships to ensure a robust programme is delivered. You will also be representing SGN at the required RAUCmeetings as part of this role

You will be working closely with Team Managers and carrying out surveys of SGN’s Mains Replacement projects in advance of planning to collate and prepare CDM preconstruction information

You will work closely with SGN’s framework contractors ensuring workload and targets are deliverable and timelines are met

Liaise closely with network in terms of project design and yearly workload (redesigns etc) and manage the planning of REP2 and be the regions contact for appendix I’s

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills.

An understanding of the distribution network or the utilities sector, and the ability to communicate at all levels.

To be computer literate with a proactive approach to business challenges.

Demonstrate self-motivation with a positive 'Can Do’ attitude, you will be able to work on your own initiative or to work as a member of a team achieving the required business results.
