**SHEQ Manager | Preston | Full Time| £45,000 - £50,000 per year**

Jonesco is a leading manufacturer of moulded plastic products, operating in three markets: commercial vehicle, fire protection and environmental protection. Jonesco is a market leader in several European countries as well as shipping to over 60 other countriesworldwide.

Based in Preston, Lancashire, the Jonesco group has a turnover of around £22m and employs around 185 employees, operating from a 4-acre manufacturing site and a 3.7-acre distribution site nearby. The subsidiary company, Jonesco Sarl based in Lille, distributesthroughout France and the EU.

The proactive SHEQ business role will promote and support a positive culture of Health and Safety, environment and quality by driving the SHEQ objectives for the business, engaging with the whole business, delivering, supporting and educating the importanceof SHEQ standards.

- Knowledge of H&S in a manufacturing environment
- Implementing change and improvement
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Confident implementing controls and measures to reduce environmental impacts
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint Services

**What will your role as a SHEQ Manager look like?**
- Management of the SHEQ Team.
- The SHEQ Manager will successfully drive a positive safety culture with the full support of the senior management team and Directors.
- Ensure the timely delivery of associated objectives, inspection, audits, and training.
- You will improve performance through the monitoring and inspections of SHEQ management systems and procedures at site level, including ISO 45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 requirements.
- Preparation and development of HSE initiatives and policies.
- Maintain and develop robust HSE plans, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
- Continually review risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Investigating any accidents/incidents and identifying the root cause, recommending the most effective corrective action.
- First point of contact with external bodies such as the HSE, Insurance companies and other relevant external providers.
- Accountable for the H&S training of new starters and existing employees.
- Devising and establishing the company’s quality & environmental procedures, standards and specifications.
- Reviewing customer, environmental and legislative requirements and ensuring that they are met.
- Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards.
- Monitoring changes to environmental legislation and analysing subsequent risk to the business.
- Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
- Controlling and managing customer complaints and driving excellent response levels.
- Conduct internal audits ISO9001, 14001 and 45001. Facilitate External audits ISO9001, 14001 and 45001.
- Manage environmental aspects.
- Jonesco are certified to ISO 14001 (Environmental) and 9001 (Quality) management systems.Jonesco are currently in the process of achieving 450001 (H&S Management systems). They are also Investors in People Accredited._
