Focussing on the well-known brand Dettol, the role is within the R&D Operation team whose purpose is to look after biocidal aerosol products that are on shelf in market. Our aim is to protect sales, grow sales and increase profit margins. We are the interface for building collaborative relationships with Supply, Regulatory, Safety, Marketing and Category.

The role is split between lab work and documentation to ensure all key project steps are adhered to and technical and regulatory dossiers maintained to a high standard. Project types supported include, Regulatory compliance, resolving quality issues, resolving formulation and analytical challenges, site transfers, cost savings, local NPD/EPD. Therefore, we work closely with Supply and Procurement, attend industrial trials and maintain material supply and production. We also work closely with Quality, Regulatory, Safety and our manufacturing partners to maintain good quality and safe products for our consumers.

An Operations aerosol role offers a varied day, fast paced projects and cross functional collaborations maintaining established products while gaining experience in projects, biocidal regulations and aerosol technology.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supporting the team to deliver aerosol projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and activities are executed to the standards required for a Healthcare product.
- Been responsible for ensuring all required formulation, feasibility work analysis, validation, stability testing, industrial trials and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required standards.
- Acting as a R&D contact for the EU aerosol portfolio working closely with the cross functional team, including regulatory; supply; quality, medical and safety.
- Providing leadership to assistants working within the team with the possibility of assuming a line management responsibility.
- Help support day to day technical queries for our aerosol product range.
- Support the team with required non-project activities that support operations e.g. in shared laboratories (maintenance activities, audit preparations, etc.)
- Support the manager in measuring and reporting team KPIs to senior management

**The experience we're looking for**:

- Educated to Degree level (Chemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering or other relevant science)
- R&D experience with a proven track record of delivery.
- Project management understanding to allow timeline building based on the operating model and key business stage gates.
- Understanding of the qualification requirements of R&D validation & production success criteria.
- Technical curiosity to improve and solve complex problems.
- Self-starting and capable of working independently.
- Ability to interpret results from lab tests through statistical analysis of testing data.
- Good negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Capable of building strong working relationships and strong networking skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral in English and good presentation skills
