- £38,296 per annum pro rata**

**Location: Based in Castlewood, Clevedon**

**Hours: 7.4 **hours per week**

**Contract: Fixed term - 2 years**

Are you passionate about improving population mental health and wellbeing? Would you want to help us improve the outcomes for men locally? Both nationally and in North Somerset, men die younger than women. 1 in 5 men do not live until they are 65 years old and sadly, four out of five people who die from suicide are men. We are looking for a talented individual to develop and drive forward a programme of work to improve the wellbeing of men in North Somerset.

This is an important role and will be crucial in helping us to deliver our commitments in the North Somerset Health and Wellbeing Strategy. You will chair the North Somerset Male Health Stakeholder Group, which has a membership of over 70 people from a range of organisations across North Somerset. This group is vital in the delivery of our multi-agency action plan that you will be responsible for developing and delivering. You will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of health promotion campaigns and training, and sourcing external funding for new projects and initiatives.

**About you**

You will have previous knowledge and experience of supporting population approaches to improving mental health and wellbeing. You will have previous experience of developing, implementing and monitoring a programme of work with partners and ensuring improvements in outcomes.

You will be working closely with a range of stakeholders and partners and will have excellent communication and influencing skills. You will be confident in chairing meetings and ensuring delivery of actions against commitments.
