Department: Food & Beverage

The person you will report to: Head Chef

The purpose of the role:
As our Kitchen Assistant you will assist the Head Chef, Sous Chef & Commis Chef’s within all aspects of food preparation in the kitchen. You will stock ingredients, cut, and prepare food and stay on top of ensuring the kitchen is always clean, including appliances, ovens & dishes.

Some of the things you will be doing include:

- Washing, peeling & preparing food.
- Unload supplies and organise the storage of food.
- Checking expiry dates and rotating stock.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, and dishes.
- It is your responsibility to report any weakness or breach that you identify within the Company’s information systems or services (even if only suspected).
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and you have a duty of care for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, guests, and visitors. You must report any concerns and co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety and safeguarding accountabilities.

- Able to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
- Good manual dexterity hand skills.
- Confident communication skills & able to work well in a team.
- A positive attitude towards excellent customer service.
