Working cohesively with our commercial director, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing our charity's retail and trading operations.
You will lead a team of resolute professionals and volunteers, drive sales and profitability, and ensure the success of our retail outlets and trading activities.
Develop and implement a comprehensive retail and trading strategy in line with the charity's objectives, ensuring sustainable growth.
Havens Hospices provides specialist care and support for people of all ages who are living with incurable conditions and their families. Our specialist team offers a wide range of care and support options for patients and their loved ones, based on their needs and wishes. This can be in the comfort of their own home, in the hospices - Fair Havens for adults or Little Havens for children - or a combination.

Provide expertise, leadership, vision, and guidance to drive forward the strategic direction of the retail operation to deliver outstanding performance in all aspects of charity retail.
Lead on the expansion of the existing shop portfolio including sourcing, costing, and planning of new shops.
Continue development of e-commerce operations across a range of platforms to maximise sales.
Work with the Area Managers to evaluate the commercial performance of shops to maximise profit across the portfolio.
Set targets for all trading income streams in conjunction with the Commercial Director and ensure the Trading team are supported to meet those targets.
Undertake legal process for obtaining or departing premises including lease agreements, arranging work needed, and seeking out most competitive costs.
Reporting sales actuals from all channels on a weekly basis with takings breakdown.
Achieve sales targets and control expenses through effective budget management and reporting.
To line manage the Operations Manager, Area Managers and E-Commerce Manager to ensure all shops and departments are motivated and connected to the organisation and our charity’s mission.
