We are currently recruiting a **CCTV Supervisor **to join our team in Rochdale.
As a CCTV Supervisor, you will supervise and co-ordinate duties required during the shift, including being the first point of contact for any issues and overseeing the effectiveness of CCTV Operators.
**Hours**:
- 40 hours per week (average)
- Week 1 - Days (Tuesday to Friday)
- Week 2 - Nights (Thursday to Sunday)

**Reporting To**:
Service Delivery Manager / Supervisor
**The Role**:
- To act as the first point of contact in the Control Room in relation to shift duties and any issues that may arise, following the escalation process when necessary, reacting accordingly for any non-planned events
- To co-ordinate staff within the Control Room, ensuring that all tasks are fulfilled effectively and that all shift activities are planned accordingly
- To promptly request the attendance of external mobile response staff or emergency services, engaging in ongoing dialogue with them for the purposes of ensuring prompt remedy to the full satisfaction of the client.
- Prepare process and produce redacted footage into a suitable format for Council officers to distribute following appropriate Subject Access Requests
- To receive all relevant communication from the customer and promptly circulate to the clients nominated representative.
- To assist colleagues in the monitoring of CCTV cameras, taking actions as required including full operation of the camera’s controls and the writing of witness statements.
- To actively monitor a Police Airwaves radio, providing prompt and effective verbal communication with Greater Manchester Police.
- To provide positive customer service when dealing with in person approaches by Police Officers or Responsible Council Officers, archiving CCTV footage as required and issuing evidential copies.
- To provide an out of hours call handling service during low periods of call demand, using personal judgement and problem solving skills to initiate a thorough response as required.
- To prioritise incoming calls on the Out of Hours Emergency Service telephone number, showing empathy to the caller and using effective communication skills to obtain and accurately record all relevant information.
- To monitor the behaviour and staffing levels, identifying any underperformance or contract none compliance issues and bringing these to the prompt attention of the Service Delivery Support Manager.
- To attend external training courses as required including but not limited to SIA public space CCTV monitoring and Police Airwaves radio communication.
- To obtain an SIA public space CCTV license (renewable every 3 years) and undertake enhanced security vetting by Greater Manchester Police on an annual basis.
- To review crime pattern analysis and engage in regular dialogue stakeholders agreed by the client that could include Greater Manchester Police, Registered Social Landlords, and Council teams for the purposes of ensuring an up to date knowledge of crime hotspots and an ability to monitor and respond to areas of greatest risk.
- To carry out duties with full regard to company and council policy and procedures
- To operate in full compliance with the Data Protection and Human Rights Act, ensuring the safe storage and transmission of sensitive personal data.
- To participate in effective shift handovers ensuring that staff taking over the shift are provided with all relevant information, including details of outstanding actions and jobs.
- Assist and work proactively with Rochdale Council to ensure enhanced compliance with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (PoAO) and the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice (SC Code) and any other statutory guidance.
- To undertake such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the level of the post.
- A SIA CCTV License **is essential**
