Accounts Payable & Administration Officer - Barnstaple - £24-26,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a long-standing client, a well-established e-commerce and retail business. They currently seek to recruit an experienced accounts payable/admin assistant who will take a lead role in the managementof accounts payable function. This is a full time, permanent opportunity to be based from the company’s modern offices in Barnstaple.

The role works within a friendly and very experienced finance team and will report to the company’s Finance Director. This will be a busy, but well supported role which covers a broad range of accounts payable duties. Key responsibilities to include:

- Assume lead responsibility for the accounts payable function
- Creating new supplier accounts adhering to payment terms etc.
- Act as first line of support for supplier queries
- Manage supplier payments
- Raise and allocate PO numbers
- Stock adjustments
- Statement reconciliations
- Matching unbalanced invoices
- Prepare VAT reports
- Ad-hoc accounting duties including covering colleagues annual leave
