Senior Accountant

Our client, a respected local charitable organisation is looking for someone to join them in a senior finance capacity.
Working closely with the board, your role will be to ensure that the finances are maintained and that year end reporting is done within timescales and to a high standard.
Duties will include
Producing monthly and annual management accounts for board review
Budgeting and forecasting
Treasury management
Variance analysis and review of budgets on a regular basis
Ensuring that ledgers are maintained
Working closely with stakeholders and providing financial advice and guidance on finance matters
Balance sheet reconciliations
Payroll preparation and statutory deductions including year end submissions
Working closely with the auditors, managing the process submitting statutory accounts
Monitoring financial controls, recommending improvements and implementing as appropriate
Looking after one team member, this role will suit someone who has proven experience working in the not for profit sector and is capable of being hands-on whilst also taking a more strategic view when necessary.
Ideally a qualified accountant, this role will be hybrid (three days in the office) and own transport is required due to the location of the offices.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a team and make a real difference from a finance perspective and actually feel that they are adding tangible value.
