**In this role, you’ll be ‘hands on’ leading your team whilst working outdoors doing the things you love.**

We take pride in our work and are committed to delivering exceptional results to our clients. Currently, we’re seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Team Leader Gardener/Landscaper.

**FIRSTLY**, you’ll need a range of hard landscaping skills, like laying patios, erecting structures, building retaining walls, etc.

**SECONDLY,** (but almost more importantly), you will have a positive attitude to not only your own work but also building and managing a great team. You will have a hands-on ‘leading from the front’ mentality. providing directing, motivating and mentoring your small but hard-working team of labourers and experienced landscapers.

You will manage and take part in all onsite aspects of transforming our customers’ gardens, from planning the build, to assessing the final quality of work, within agreed targets and deadlines.

You will work in customer’s gardens in Newport, Monmouthshire, Bristol and surrounding areas, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This is a permanent position employed directly within the company. This role is physically demanding, requiring someone who is fit, healthy and ready to take on various tasks, from site clearance, mixing concrete and carrying heavy materials.

Manage a team of two or more employees, including handling personnel issues on site and training employees on policies and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including on site and equipment. Works as a member of the team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertaking the day-to-day control and co-ordination of the predetermined workload.
- Day to day management of resources, tools, equipment, materials, transport and machinery required by the team to complete the works programme.
- Be involved in the short-term planning for the completion of programmed and non-programmed works by the team.
- Effectively and efficiently deploy and motivate all staff to always ensure maximum productivity.
- As appropriate provide training and instruction.
- All duties must be carried out to comply with The Health & Safety at Work Act.
- Assist with site clearance, including debris removal and vegetation.
- Help with concrete mixing and foundation work as needed.
- Carry heavy materials and equipment safety and efficiently.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions alongside our dedicated team.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
