**Early Help Navigator**

We are looking for excellent, solution focused practitioners to join our team in delivering high quality supportive interventions that help to secure positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

It is an exciting time to join our team of Early Help Navigators, we are on an improvement journey and reshaping our service to ensure that BCP is able to put its resources where it is best for children and families, in our Family Hubs to support the community and in schools, enabling us to provide the right service, to the right families at the right time.

Early Help Navigators are focused on improving the lives of 0-19 years olds, making a meaningful difference to improving their wellbeing, outcomes and life chances, this is done through the delivery of carefully selected supportive interventions, developed by experts and evidence, delivered with integrity and compassion and quality assured with robust rigour.

The key element to this initiative is having an Early Help Navigator working where children, young people and parents are, therefore in the community in Family Hubs and schools.

The Early Help Navigator role has 3 core functions:

- Brokerage - the Early Help Navigator can coordinate support for families, helping them understand the Early Help offer and system to access services in a timely manner.
- Graduated Response - the Early Help Navigator is a named link worker to support schools to address issues at an early stage in line with the graduated response following the continuum of need.
- Direct work - the Early Help Navigator will work alongside parents and children delivering supportive interventions, empowering parents to create quality home learning environments and strengthen home/school partnerships.

The role requires working as a member of the Early Help Navigator Team operating peripatetically across the BCP area delivering high quality supportive interventions and working with partners to deliver the Family Hub vision, in order to improve outcomes for children and build parental capacity, strengths and resilience. In order to deliver this, you will engage with colleagues across Children’s Services, Health partnerships, Education, the local community & voluntary sector.

The role may require the Early Help Navigator to act as a lead professional playing a key role in managing risk and securing positive outcomes through robust case work, including thorough assessment and outcomes focused timely planning and ensure the safe transfer of cases to statutory services when required.

The Early Help Navigators will be supported by a Senior Navigator Lead under the Service Team Manager. We are an inclusive, supportive team that is solution focused and welcome motivated practitioners. The role does require a degree of autonomy and self-sufficiency. There are opportunities to network with colleagues at team meetings and group supervision, as well as work alongside Early Help Navigator colleagues for interventions that require co-delivery.
