**Job overview**:
We're looking for an experienced clinical leader to support the NCA deliver our Outpatient excellence programme. Prior service level clinical leadership and ambition to develop a cross-organisational leadership portfolio which includes partnership working and patient-centredness at it’s heart would be desirable experience to underpin this leadership role.

The role will:

- be an opportunity to lead and inspire colleagues, helping them to improve the care we provide to our patients, to a consistent standard no matter where their care is provided
- support a cross-organisational transformation programme with patient care at its very heart
- develop your clinical leadership skills supported by an experienced programme management team

**Main duties of the job**:
**As the Clinical Lead for Outpatient Excellence** you will support the strategic aims of the NCA, as the Organisation aims to ensure that we maximise our capacity to deliver the outpatient services ensuring ‘every consultation counts’. Creating a modern, sustainable outpatient service that meets the needs of patients and reduces health inequalities across the NCA. Your leadership will also be instrumental in influencing the development and functionality of the new EPR for the NCA.

**GIRFT Leadership Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT)** is working with NHS trusts as part of a programme called ‘Further Faster’ to deliver rapid clinical transformation with the aim of reducing 52-week waits. The work brings together clinicians and operational teams with the challenge of collectively going ‘further and faster’ to transform patient pathways and working to reduce unnecessary appointments and improve access and waiting times for patients. Your role would be to provide advice and support for clinicians and specialities within the organisation, supporting a new paradigm of outpatient delivery.

We're looking for an excellent clinical leader with at least three year’s established consultant practice, ideally with clinical director or clinical lead-level of prior leadership experience.
