Careers Advisor - Brent

Are you an experienced School Administrator looking for a unique, rewarding opportunity to help students choose the best path for their future?

Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a mainstream Secondary School in Brent who are looking for a Careers Advisor and Work Experienced Coordinator to become an integral part of their upper school administration team.

This is a full time, long term maternity cover contract (term time only) that will commence ASAP and continue until at least July 2023. Pay starts at £15 per hour for this role dependent on experience.

**Position: Careers Education and Guidance/Work Experience Coordinator**

**Contract: Full Time Maternity Cover Contract - Immediate start - minimum 9 months**

**Location: Wembley Park, Brent**

**Pay: £15+ per hour based on experience**

**Responsibilities**:

- Management of CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance)
- To develop a relationship with Jobcentre Plus to ensure smoother pathway / transition from education to work for some students.
- Developing links with the National Citizen Service and other voluntary and community activities.
- To provide strong support for SEND students, liaising with the SEND Department on special Careers and Employability related programmes for students.
- Support students at KS4 in arranging work experience placements during nonterm time.
- Plan Year 11 Careers Day including organising outside providers, coordinating lesson materials and delivery through tutors, and evaluation.

**Required Experience**:

- Prior experience in a similar role, either within or outside education, is highly advantageous
- Be an incredibly organised individual who can work independently without constant direction
- Essential administration skills
- Effective communications skills
- Be a compassionate, understanding individual who is able to build strong relationships with students, staff and families of the school
