Hull Culture and Leisure is seeking to recruit a Customer Advisor who will be based at the Ings Road & Longhill libraries, working across both sites.

This is an opportunity to work in a customer driven environment delivering excellent customer service.

The successful applicant will provide information and library services including a wide range of both council services and services of partner organisations, such as blue badges, parking permits, bus passes, etc. ensuring that as many enquiries as possible are resolved at first point of contact and that customers are encouraged to access all services available to them.

You will work within a team to deliver a proactive and responsive library service, for example, by encouraging reading and lifelong learning and delivering specific activities and promotions i.e. Summer Reading Challenge, reader promotions, assist with class visits, etc.

You will contribute towards the delivery of a flexible service, working as required at different library sites. This will involve evening and weekend working and will also include delivering promotions and activities with service area and partners, both on and off site.
- 4 GCSEs or NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in a related work area
- Experience of working within an operational environment, which will include experience of dealing with the public on a face-to-face basis.
- A commitment to a high level of customer service which can be demonstrated through previous work or volunteering experience.
