**Community Partnerships**

Our service specialises in developing and delivering community based services for St Andrew’s.We currently offer a range of services including, a busy private therapy clinic, a Medico-Legal Service, Diagnostic Assessment Clinics (ADHD and ASD), a ComplexTreatment Service for Military Veterans, the Assertive Transition Service and criminal justice services in London. We also provide case consultation and reflective practice for Children’s Homes as well as running teaching sessions at schools, universities,care homes and local businesses on a variety of topics.

**The Role and Person**

In April 2018 we were commissioned by NHS England Armed Forces to provide a specialist Complex Treatment Service for Military Veterans across the East Midlands and East of England.Veterans are referred by colleagues in the Transition Intervention LiaisonServices in Essex and Lincoln for psychological support with service related trauma and/or mental health needs.The successful applicant will join a highly motivated, supportive and friendly multi-disciplinary team, and will report directly to the ClinicalLead.The service is psychology-led and holds psychological assessment and formulation, as well as the Veterans we work with, at the core of everything it offers.

You will be responsible for delivering outcome based psychological therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of Veterans living in the East of England.The service is community based and appointments are offered where possible in the Veteran’slocality as well as remotely via telephone and video. Although the main service offices are based in Northampton, the post holder will also be required to deliver psychological services away from this base introducing variety to the structure of your week.Due to the travel required, a full driver’s licence is essential. However, in return, you will also benefit from having the flexibility to work from home when appropriate to do so.

Given the nature of the client group and the geographical needs of the service, we are looking for a clinician with significant experience in treating complex mental health needs in an autonomous capacity.Being able to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months postqualification experience in treating trauma and complex mental health needs according to evidenced based guidelines is essential, as is experience of working with this client group.Experience of using a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDRand Compassion Focused Therapy would also be an advantage.Equally important would be your ability to work both autonomously within community based settings, as well as collaboratively with other teams and professionals.The ability to consider and findcrea
