Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acquisitions team supporting moves to alternative accommodation options but primarily private rented accommodation outside of the homeless pathway.
You will have a positive attitude towards enabling people to privately rent and an awareness of the issues that tenants may face renting privately in Brighton & Hove. A big part of the role will be liaising with tenants and often Landlords to properly assess needs in order to best sustain the accommodation option they move to. You will be confident in working with budget plans and have a working knowledge of household benefits and entitlements to enable tenants and create resilient and sustainable tenancies.
Having an understanding of local authority temporary accommodation and the duties that people are housed under will be an advantage. You should also have a good understanding of the needs of large families, complex need families and single homeless households and the wider support networks available in the city.
Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
