Our client is a family run business that trades in recycled timbers the repatriation of wooden pallets, biomass wood chip & briquettes.

There are two companies which run side by side, both have had circa £1.5m invested over the last 10 years with further required to take us to the next level, this being further automation and creating new products from by
- products/waste.

They are looking for someone to join their team who is excited by change and growth, is happy to roll up their sleeves and work alongside their peers & team members to ensure that all deadlines and customer expectations are met. Be able to spot potential amongst their team and to then guide/mentor and train them to reach their respective potentials.

The production supervisor is responsible for the manufacture and repair of pallets using wood from recycled pallets. They are at the forefront of using sustainable materials in the manufacture of our products.

The position is unique as the raw materials for the manufacture of pallets are sourced from recycled wood through the stripping and cutting process.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the general responsibilities are:

- Lead Quality, Health and safety and working to priorities in the production area.
- Compose daily operational schedule.
- Attend daily Operations meetings with proposed schedule for the following day.
- Create and execute the production lists for each unit daily.
- Record daily payroll attendance spreadsheet and forward to payroll.
- Liaise with Euro Area supervisor to ensure correct raw material holdings.
- Set production KPI’s.
- Monitor individual output targets.
- Hold performance reviews.
- Cleaning and inspection of the dust extraction systems.
- Ensure trained personnel use machinery to which they hold a current certificate of training.
- All operatives to be constantly monitored to ensure they are wearing the correct PPE.
- Liaise with H&S Officer to cover all company HSE requirements.
- Use of the Pallet Design System.
- Complete Employee Request Form when either a new position is created, or replacement is required and send to HR.
- Arrange appraisal meetings monitor & guide the new starters and where necessary a plan of extended training.
- Complete Return To Work (absence), holiday approval, investigations and disciplinary’s.
- Manage and work with HR for all internal and external training requirements for all the team.
- Any other Ad-hoc duties required.

Requirements for the role include:

- Organisational skills
- Demonstratable knowledge on how to motivate a team
- Proven experience of working to and achieving targets set
- Ability and experience of holding meetings
- Experience of implementing change within a business successfully
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- Experience in budgetary control
- Excellent with measurements and able to understand/read drawings
- Comfortable with design software
- Be a team leader when required but also able to be a team player
- Full driving licence
- Relevent Managment/supervisory qualification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
