**Purpose and Accountabilities**

The Finance Assistant role provides day to day administration, processing and bookkeeping support in order to maintain efficient running of the Finance Department. The role also provides support with month end and year end activities. You will play an important role within the Finance team as well as have wide communication with colleagues, clients and overseas subsidiaries.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Responsibility for Supplier functions in Sage 50/200, including setting up new suppliers and preparing payment runs

3. Processing Supplier invoices in line with current Company policy

4. Accessing Supplier portals, Supplier housekeeping

5. Validating & Processing employee expense claims

6. Dealing with currencies and recording FX transactions

7. Assisting with Customer functions including credit control

8. Preparation of month end aged reports and assisting with month end processes

**Key technical skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications**
1. Good, solid Accounts Payable experience

2. Qualified AAT/Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or demonstrable QBE

3. Sage 50 & Sage 200 experience

4. Experience on VAT & cross border transactions

5. Accustomed to working with multiple currencies and exchange rates

6. Strong IT skills including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

2. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and build relationships across clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
