**We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for a Site Safety Specialist for one of our corporate clients in London.**

**Contracted Hours: 37.5**

**Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri**

**Salary: £40,000 - £45,000**

**Purpose**

The Site Safety Specialist (SSS) will provide support for the clients Health & Safety program to strengthen safety advocacy and assure environmental, health and safety compliance across the site to which they are assigned.

**Responsibilities**:
They are responsible for the day to day management of environmental, health and safety tasks supporting and reporting to the Global EHS Director. Experience in auditing and performing tasks associated with an occupational safety program is required.The role is highly collaborative in nature offering support to multiple work groups. The SSS is a mentor and key point of contact for those with health and safety duties within the wider team, offering leadership and expertise across the region and helping them implement health and safety arrangements locally.
- Maintain knowledge of local safety and health rules and regulations with understanding of regional roles.
- Maintain ISO, OSHA equivalent and/or ICS certification as required.
- Implement provided Health and Safety programs at the site level including but not limited to:

- Site metrics
- Regulatory documentation
- H&S audits and risk assessments
- Awareness training
- Incident investigation and complete reports to appropriate party**.**:

- Ergonomic evaluations
- Investigate employee safety concerns
- Reports any deficiencies in the above to the Global EHS Director
- Responds timely to additional requests from stakeholders.
- Coordinates the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Team (ERT):

- Recruit and train ERT members
- Coordinate practical and tabletop drills for emergencies.
- With assistance from required parties, facilitates site-wide evacuation drills.
- Respond as needed during “after hours” emergencies.
- Support awareness initiatives to promote safety culture in the workplace.
- Maintain site EHS metrics and distribute as required.
- Collaborate with Security and Workplace to monitor standards and regulations.
- Process documents and report periodically to program management teams to identify hidden risks or nonconformity issues.
- Conduct regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) audits and inspections in a timely manner and submit to the appropriate party.
- Track and report progress on corrective and preventative actions arising from monitoring activities and incidents.
- Make sure sites have easy access to EHS documentation such as Safety Data Sheet binder, Evacuation maps, etc. (coordinate with IFM partners as needed).
- Using provided meeting technology, schedule and facilitate a variety of meetings and webinars to disseminate gathered information.
- Maintain a client service approach to problem-solving health and safety concerns.
- Support events on and off-site and attend other office locations at the request of the EHS Director (International travel may be required on occasion).
- This list is partial. Other tasks deemed important to the furthering of EHS and may be assigned and are part of the job requirements. The SSS as a Securitas employee may support the security function with additional EHS responsibilities.

- BSc/BA in safety management or related field or qualifications NEBOSH General Cert / Diploma.
- Subject Matter Expert on safety regulations.
- 3+ years of experience
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Qualification a plus
- Experience with Smartsheets beneficial.
- First Aid Trainer beneficial.
- Experience in Tech, Retail or similar industry beneficial
