Productive Porter

**Job objectives and responsibilities**
- To be responsible for the servicing of areas, as allocated by the management team, to the standard required by the client and Mitie, efficiently and professionally.

**Main duties**

To ensure the “deliveries airlock” is always kept clear.
- All delivered goods /items to be taken from the deliveries airlock and placed into the appropriate storage area(s)

or delivered to the appropriate person.
- Liaise with other areas for collection of their goods / items.
- All storage areas must always be kept tidy.
- Liaise with the DERMs and liquids Administration, Process Support and Movers to control miscellaneous

materials stock quantities to pre-agreed levels via a Kan ban system. (These materials Includes yellow bags, medi

bins, white cloths and dumpy bags).
- Liaise with Mitie Lab consumables to ensure the business unit has a sufficient supply of plastic pallets and

cardboard pallet boxes for the waste streams.
- Make up pallet boxes daily as required.
- Production airlocks to be always kept tidy. Cots/pallets boxes to be emptied or changed when full.
- The DWMA are to be kept clean, flat pack pallet boxes to be stored tidily and made up as required.
- Monitor the 3 waste pallet boxes in the DWMA and change as necessary.
- Drums to be transferred from wooden pallets onto either metal pallets or drum prams.
- Transfer cots of dispensed materials and clean parts between airlocks.
- Follow standard work and maintain 5S as necessary.
- Complete the daily / weekly truck checks.
- Monitor and request additional drums of disinfectants when required and replace.
- Maintain disinfectant storage and usage areas.
- Pallet movement across the I&D business unit, including cold storage as required.
- Maintain appropriate standards within the MTA.
- Move archive boxes to the drop zone for collection by Mitie
- Carry out any/all reasonable duties as requested by your supervisor, management team.
- Ensure My Learning is current and up to date on a weekly basis.
- Check equipment daily before use, any damages must be reported to your supervisor.
- To be polite at all times, and to provide an efficient service to our customers/visitors and client alike.
- Flexibility is required within the role to cover other areas where trained in times of sickness / holidays

**Person specification**
- Previous cleaning experience preferable.
- They will be a good team player, will have a flexible approach to the working environment and may be asked to provide cover in other areas when required.
- Good English language proficiency to enable understanding of instructions, safety signs, SOPS, and Health and Safety related training.
