Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner based in Southampton. Our client are a leading transport company who have gone through a tremendous about of growth over the last year, hence this exciting opportunity arising. This is aPERMANENT position
Overview of this Transport Planner:

- Effective and cost efficient planning of the companies Container Fleet whilst adhering to our customers KPI's
- Leading and mentoring other planners
- Monday to Friday - (One Saturday in every 3)
- (Shift patterns are 07:00am to 17:00pm / 08:00am to 18:00pm / 09:00am to 19:00pm)
- £25,000 - £40,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
- Southampton SO40
Person Specification:

- MUST have relevant and evidence based experience with Transport Planner role
- Minimum 1 years' experience in container logistics (Highly desirable)
- Ability to lead and mentor other planners with the team
- Full working knowledge of all major container ports and depots in UK
- Proficient ability in using industry standard IT - i.e. Microsoft Office, Truckcom, Port VBS systems and TOPS
- Strong team player with good communication
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer Orientated
- Proficient working knowledge of current Driver and Transport Legislation (ESSENTIAL)
