**Compliance Advisor and/or Compliance Junior**

Part time opportunity, divided between home working and our offices in Newquay, Cornwall
- Compliance Advisor (3 days per week based on an FTE of £32k - £35k)
- Compliance Junior (4 days per week based on an FTE of £25k - £27k)

We’re looking for an eagle-eyed individual with proven great attention to detail to help us get more money than ever flowing safely from our supporters into projects that make a difference.

Since Crowdfunder started, we’ve helped to raise over £2.8 million for community projects across the UK, working with over 425k projects, 300k project owners and more than 2.5 million supporters.

And to continue to do more, we’re looking for someone who can support our Head of Compliance and make sure that Crowdfunder is operating in the most compliant way and ensure our platform remains a safe place for people to support their communities.

**About the role**

We’re looking for someone to work with us, three or four days a week, with at least one of those days at our offices in central Newquay.

Your responsibilities will depend on your background and experience but will involve:

- Carrying out due diligence checks on customers
- Ensuring new and existing users are reviewed for compliance
- Flagging any unusual activity for further investigation
- Keeping our internal policies updated and implemented
- Dealing with compliance queries from across the business
- Assisting with internal audits, risk management and compliance monitoring
- Responding to funding partner requests, audits etc

**About you**

This is a new position for us, and we’re open minded. We’re as interested in talking to compliance professionals with a formal legal or finance background as we are people who are earlier on in their careers and motivated to learn.

If you are proactive with a meticulous eye for detail, are comfortable with words like risk, fraud or audit and have a passion for doing things right, we’d like to hear from you.

Some of the things we’ll be looking for are:

- The ability to work through complex issues and large volumes of information
- Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills
- Time spent working in a regulated industry (financial services would be a bonus)
- Knowledge of data protection legislation
- Experience of working in a compliance and/or risk management role or similar
- Legal knowledge would be beneficial

Part-time hours: 22.5 - 30 per week

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
