- This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College._

**This role is pro rata so the salary you will be receiving is £16,731 - £23,390.90 per annum.**

**Background to the Post**

As one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the UK, with unique colleges across two counties, we aim to deliver learning experiences which lead to the development of wider skill bases and improved destinations for all of our students.

Our recent Ofsted inspection highlights our success and strong focus both on students and on meeting industry needs. This post is situated primarily within the Business, Travel & Digital Technology at Royal Leamington Spa Campus, However there may be a requirement to teach at the Rugby Campus. Both colleges are part of the Warwickshire College Group. The department currently has over 150 students studying Level 2 and 3 BTEC Business. The academic nature of the department means that the majority of our students will go to university in the future.

As a department we support our teachers with relevant training that will help enhance their skills within the classroom. This includes behaviour management, enterprise learning, transformational learning and digital teaching & learning. Throughout their time at the college our staff also undergo mandatory training that includes safeguarding, equality and diversity and WRAP (Prevent).

Our Royal Leamington Spa campus delivers various specialisms from Hair & Beauty to Games Art & Design. As well as these courses we also have an onsite Bistro where some of our students complete their catering courses. **Essential Attainments**:

- A degree or professional qualification in a relevant area is essential.
- Teacher Training Qualification or willing to undertake (Appendix 1).
- GCSE Grade A-C/4-9 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English (or willingness to achieve necessary qualifications within 12 months).
- Good working knowledge of IT and communication skills.
- Ability to relate well with staff and students and to work effectively as a member of a team with the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent understanding of BTEC level 2 and 3 in Business (2016).

**Desirable Attainments**:

- Previous successful teaching experience within an appropriate area.
- Proven success in supporting students and optimising student performance.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Flexibility and a willingness and ability to teach across levels; deliver external qualifications.
- Knowledge and use of cloud technologies such as G-Suite (Google apps) for education, for teaching and learning.
