In the role of Senior Engineer
Control Systems, youll be responsible for providing project leadership to successfully deliver your own projects, as well as supporting those of others. Youll support the wider engineering team, ensuring they are developing skills and capabilities that grow them and the function as a whole.
Youll be operating in a fast paced project environment, needing technical, commercial and customer management skills whilst collaborating with some of the most innovative people, companies, and technologies on the planet. Degree educated in mechanical, electrical, electronic or control system engineering or related discipline OR equivalent demonstrable experience.
Experience in control systems development in automotive.
An aptitude for solving engineering problems, and experience in finding supporting resources.
Experience in key software tools within automotive engineering (Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, CANape)
Able to follow key engineering processes and procedures
Application of technical knowledge and experience to provide innovative engineering solutions to meet a variety of customer requirements
Use of and proficient in appropriate software related to your engineering background
Where appropriate, undertake Project Lead role; leading a small/medium project team to deliver a successful project outcome; from both a technical and commercial perspective
Specify and prepare sensors, actuators, instrumentation, wiring and data logging requirements
Debugging of software on real time controllers
Measure electronic/electrical signals using of oscilloscopes and multimers
Support control testing and data analysis activities
Undertake data logging and calibration in rigs/vehicles using CANape or INCA
Continuous awareness of automotive functional safety ISO26262
Identify problems in a timely manner and ensure the best engineering solutions are applied
Present and communicate technical and commercial information, clearly and concisely, both internally and to customers
Support the business development team in the creation of technical project proposals and resourcing estimates
