We are looking for an experienced Specialist Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join a leading Mental Health partnership in North London.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert medical leadership to the team, working closely with the consultant, and stepping in during their absence.
- Attend daily morning referral meetings to contribute to patient care planning and coordination.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and deliver appropriate treatment for individuals under the team's care.
- Lead the management of complex cases, ensuring comprehensive and effective patient support.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to formulate well-rounded treatment plans.
- Ensure the review and address the physical health needs of patients through liaison with relevant agencies, including the patients' GP and general hospital services.
- Promote mental health and independence for all individuals within the service.
- Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Provide essential support to carers and relatives of patients, actively involving them in care plans when possible.
- Facilitate access to a wide range of community-oriented services for patients in need.
- Effectively liaise with other Trust services and external partner agencies, prioritizing the best interests of patients.
- Deliver services of the highest quality while being mindful of available resources.
- Encourage and ensure high-quality management of mental health patients by non-medical staff.
- Support non-medical colleagues in their independent work, promoting a collaborative approach.
- Participate in management activities related to the post or the wider service as required.
- Adhere to all legal obligations covering clinical practice, including compliance with the Mental Health Act (1983) and Mental Capacity Act (2005).
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to ensuring fair access to services for all individuals.
- Comply with procedures for reporting any concerns about professional conduct or competence of medical or other colleagues.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Full GMC registration
- Full MRCPsych or equivalent
- At least 6 years experience at Specialty Doctor level
